Midland Appraisal is active throughout the Upstate area of New York State encompassing more than 40 counties from Buffalo to Albany. Over the years, Midland Appraisal Associates, Inc. has completed appraisal and review appraisal assignments in more than 30 states. The partners and associates provide a broad range of real estate appraisal and counseling services including traditional valuation reports, feasibility and marketability studies, highest and best use studies, investment counseling, etc. Historically, the partners and associates have been involved almost exclusively in the valuation of commercial, industrial, and investment properties including apartments, office buildings, shopping centers and regional malls, freestanding single-tenant retail buildings, hotels and motels, nursing homes and proprietary homes, industrial real estate including large-area industrial buildings in excess of 2,000,000 sq. ft. and special-purpose/special-use properties including marinas, golf courses and country clubs, bowling centers, ski areas, etc. (See Scope of Services)
In 2004, the company re-established a residential appraisal department with James A. LeGrett serving as the managing partner of the residential division. The residential division provides appraisals for mortgage financing (purchase/sale/new construction), refinancing, tax assessment issues, relocation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, estate planning, matrimonial issues, etc. The residential division accepts assignments in the Greater Rochester area and the Finger Lakes region of New York State.
